Focus Patent was founded by Tsung Y. Wu, a USPTO patent examiner during 2012 to 2019. As an examiner, Mr. Wu's job was to look for solid reasons and evidences to grant patents. Mr. Wu has issued 80+ patents and has represented USPTO in 20+ appeal cases at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), with more than 90% of the cases affirmed by the PTAB.

Mr. Wu is currently a registered U.S. patent agent, and as an agent, he believes that the key to success in patent prosecution is to prepare solid evidences and explainations in applications, and then persuade examiners to pick them up as reasons for allowance.
